Billing Case Study 2: Established Four Physician Single Specialty Group

A well established and professionally run Physician group had lost their second head biller in the span of one year and was unable to recruit and hire a satisfactory replacement. They promoted from within, and the new head biller was unable to handle the demands of the busy practice. Collection performance began to suffer and errors mounted in claims processing.

Adding to this, the practice was using an outdated, character based practice management system that was due for upgrading. However, in the environment of reduced collections, they were concerned about making the capital investment required for a modern, Windows-based system.
