Ron
Rosenberg - President/Founder
With
more than 30 years' experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Rosenberg
is considered a leading authority on medical practice management
and one of the nation's foremost specialists in helping physician
practices enhance their financial performance.
Beginning
his career as a U.S. Navy hospital corpsman, Mr. Rosenberg graduated
from the Dartmouth College Medical School Physician Assistant Program
and became one of the first physician assistants in the United States.
He practiced as a certified physician assistant for more than a
decade in a variety of clinical settings, including rural primary
care, academic cardiology and family practice, and urban urgent
care.
In
1982, Mr. Rosenberg shifted focus to the business side of medicine,
specializing in the development of health risk appraisals, health
promotion programs and price/performance analyses as director for
several healthcare organizations before becoming managing partner
for a medical practice management consulting firm. He founded PMRG
in 1992.
A respected
author and lecturer, Mr. Rosenberg has led hundreds of seminars
on practice financial performance for the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Gastroenterology
Association and other national and state medical specialty societies.
His popular program, "How to Run Your Practice Like a Real Business,"
has been presented to progressive hospital staffs and professional
associations across the country. Mr. Rosenberg has been an active
board member of several medical professional associations throughout
his distinguished career, and previously served as President of
the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He received a Master's
of Public Health from the University of Utah College of Medicine.
